BOYS UNIFORM
Royal blue V-necked sweater with embroidered College logo, with the approved College tie, (both
only available from the official stockists). Ties and jumpers are to be worn at all times other than
when official notice is given.
During the Summer term and the first half of the Autumn term pupils will be given permission to wear
Summer Uniform: Sweaters and ties need not be worn; alternatively pupils may wear a College Polo shirt
- this is a designated colour and carries the College and Sports College logo. These are the only Polo
shirts which are permissable. All pupils must, of course, maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
Trousers should be plain (not flecked or patterned), black or grey 'worsted' type material
denim/jeans/cord or chino type trousers are specifically excluded).
Plain white shirt (short sleeve in summer), of traditional design (no logos etc).
Socks should be plain grey, black, white or dark blue.
Shoes should be black, brown, or grey, of a plain style, and suitable for school. Sports shoes and
trainers, by definition, are meant for sporting or casual and leisure wear. Schooling should be
anything but casual and leisurely and general dress regulations should be about appropriate dress. Footwear of this nature is becoming increasingly high fashion and very expensive. Sports shoes and
trainers are therefore not to be worn in any part of the College buildings except at the direction of the
P.E. or Drama Staff.
Pupils will be expected to wear an adequate apron in the workshops and in the Food Technology
Rooms.
Outdoor Clothing. The reputation of the College depends partly on the public appearance of its
pupils (i.e. to and from College) - please use your discretion bearing this fact in mind. During cold
and wet weather please ensure your child leaves home adequately protected.
Physical Education - to be purchased from Paignton Community & Sports College (order form enclosed).
Studs on boots must conform to R.F.U./F.A. rulings for health and safety reasons.
A Towel should be brought to each outdoor lesson and for indoor lessons as instructed.
Swimming trunks/shorts must be worn in the College swimming pool.
Optional extras are shin guards for soccer, running spikes for athletics, mouth guards for rugby.
Anyone not taking part in PE through illness/injury will still change into kit in order that they can
take part in coaching and/or officiating roles.
