Pupil mobility continues to be a major factor in the College. In June 2007 19% of all pupils in the college were transient pupils.

Two members of staff work with transient pupils across both college sites. Work is concentrated on year 10 & year 11 pupils, with the intention of boosting success at GCSE examinations.

This year the Transient Pupil results for GCSE were the best ever with 36% gaining at least 5A*-C grades.

Success at year 9 with SATs results was also at our best level ever. Most Transient Pupils achieve levels equal to the college as a whole.

With continuation of support for Transient Pupils I hope to continue these years successes into the new academic year.
