TIC TAC is a Health Centre based on the school site which operates at lunchtime.
TIC TAC aims to support and listen to young people, and
to provide a confidential service
The Centre has health professionals who attend at lunch time who will see young people as individuals or in small groups. The Centre started in February 1998 and has, over the years, received praise from OFSTED and The Government Select Health Committee
Following the reorganisation of the Paignton Community & Sports College sites, both TIC TAC services are now firmly established and operational.
Both the Borough Road and Waterleat Road TIC TAC operate five days a week.
However, there are now only two medical professionals working at Waterleat Road. To counteract this the Tic Tac staff have undertaken training to enable them to lead Sexual Health sessions.
More Youth Workers are getting involved with Tic Tac over the lunchtime period.
More group work has been taking place in the lounge over lunchtime, particularly at Waterleat Road on the days when no medical staff are available.
