Information for Students
The most important thing to remember is if you are worried about something, TELL SOMEONE YOU CAN TRUST! There is always help available in College: you can talk to your Pastoral Manager, Head of Year, senior member of staff or a teacher if you are worried about anything at all.
If for any reason you do not want to talk to someone in school help and advice on e-safety issues is available from various different places. Look at the last page of the booklet ‘Keeping Yourself Safe Online’ (on the College’s Website under E-Safety, Resources for Students) for information how to get Online help.
ChildLine (right click to open in new window) is the free helpline for children and young people in the UK. Children and young people can call them on 0800 1111 to talk about any problem – counsellors are always available to help you sort it out.
The Thinkuknow (right click to open in new window) website is there to challenge what you know about the internet and safe surfing. It covers topics incuding gaming, podcasting, chatting and much much more.
