We are now a London 2012 ‘Network’ School – 18,927 schools are registered with GET SET – only 864 have been granted ‘Network’ status

• We are demonstrating a commitment to the Olympic/Paralympic values.
• We will use the London 2012 Games to inspire learners of all ages to get involved in values-based projects and activities.
• We have our own blog which is managed by students to share/showcase our success.
• We can now officially use the ‘London 2012 Education Logo’ on our website, newsletters and letterheads.

In March 2007 the College was given this award in recognition of its commitment to the education of people in the world of work

Healthy Schools Award

Having achieved the designated standard in the areas of personal, social and health education; healthy eating; physical activity; and emotional health and well being. Designated in January 2007 until 2010.

Aimhigher Recognition Award

Paignton Community and Sports College was recently visited by the South West peninsula programme manager for Aimhigher and was awarded a plaque to show the Colleges commitment and understanding of Higher and Further Education.

Aimhigher gives students the opportunity to experience exciting, challenging, enjoyable and informative events develop skills and increase their knowledge of what Higher Education is all about.

Football Charter Standard Specialist Sports College in Devon

The College has recieved this award for the third consecutive year. This award is judged on all aspects of football, including curricular, extra-curricular and holiday activities as well as the opportunities and festivals organised by the Torbay Sports Partnership programme.

Listening School

The College became the first school in the South West to become an NSPCC Listening School

To achieve this status schools must reach the designated standard in 4 key areas:

Investors in Careers

The College’s commitment to this important area is reflected in the fact that we were one of the first schools in Devon and Cornwall to receive the Investors in Careers Award and we hold the Investors in Education Business Partnership Award.
